Peg Leg
- Pilgrim profile
Why keep walking?
Because the kids won’t let us stop. But also because it’s one of the
best ways to spend Easter and a true family celebration of the
Passion with other families.
A fact no-one knows about you?
I once lived in Ethiopia.
Essential piece of pilgrim kit?
Spare socks for rainy days. And a backpack for small children.
Front traffic or support car packer?
Front traffic always, because I love maps.
Ideal sandwich filling and accompanying drink?
Mature cheddar and iceberg lettuce with a pint of real cider (not
the fizzy rubbish that pretends to be cider). On a budget – peanut
butter and marmite (though keep the cider).
Favourite song (on the road or in the pub)?
Oh you’ll never get to heaven… (kids can be very creative making up
the verses).
What makes a good leg liturgy?
Sitting outside.
A pilgrim prayer in 20 words or less?
Guide us, Lord, as parents in bringing your love to our children
through and beyond Student Cross.
What Walsingham means to you?
Quintessential English village with a sense of peace. The perfect
place to end a pilgrimage.
Anything else to declare?
I’m sure I didn’t put that in my bag officer… Come on Student Cross
and enjoy your faith! |
